At Wine 101 we help you learn about the wine for what the wine is - not if it's crisp, silky, rich, bubbly, fruity, mellow, bold or nectar or some other nonsense.

At Wine 101 we know each and every one of our wines, each bottle is hand selected by the owners; who are also there to guide you through your wine selection based on what YOU like. Unlike other wine stores - we taste each of the wine selections - we don't purchase in bulk or based on what the franchise home office dictates or orders because of great "close-out" prices.

Wine 101 selects wines based on quality, price point, and uniqueness.  We want your wine experience to be enjoyable - we also want you to be able to leave here knowing that you too can order GREAT wine anywhere you go, and just because it isn't a label you recognize your wine steward will be able to assist you in making a great selection without having to depend on a "wine" category of crisp, silky, rich, bubbly, fruity, mellow, bold or nectar.  You know what your palate likes - and your palate doesn't want to be compartmentalized.

WINE 101 is a small retail wine boutique and lounge, located in Historic Old Town Helotes, Texas. Just north of the famous Floore's Country Store or just south of El Chaparral Mexican Restaurant on Old Bandera Road.

We're the perfect wine store that has morphed into this great outdoor lounge where the Hill Country mingles just far enough outsides its boundaries for a touch of European flare!  So come out and RELAX, kick up your heels and enjoy some wine and unwind. If the outdoors aren't your glass of wine ... we do have indoor seating as well!!!

We feature many unique wines from all over the world. All of our wines are available by the glass or the bottle.  Your favorite wine can be consumed here in our "home away from home" setting or if you insist we can box it for your "to go" convenience.
